ahh yeah, that should be interesting, hopefully it won't be like MY experience with my paternal grandfather (not the one I've been talking about). He could throw NOTHING away so when he died and my dad had to auction off the estate, we had to move ALL THIS CRAP from up in the attic down three flights of stairs. Hardest physical labor I've ever done in my life LOL. I sort of HAD been hoping to get my hands on a few of the classic cars he had, but most of them were auctioned off....and sadly, a lot of them were sold for one or two parts the guy needed and he'd scrap the rest of the car. My dad DOES have his Edsel though its engine is all in pieces. He had bought it but couldn't use it due to it belching black smoke so he had begun taking the engine out to fix it, inherited his aunt's Plymouth and had no need for the Edsel.....they're really rare though and I'd like to have it......cost for restoring it.....a little out of my league

Yeah... my grandfather has four rooms of stuff in his basement... thats going to be fun... I already had to bundle together stacks upon stacks of magazines and carry up the stairs for him. I swear, he had every issue of some magazines... some of them dated back to the 40's/ 50's . Though he kept some magazines and comics from the turn of the century that were once owned by his father. Those are kinda cool to read. I'd imagine the price would be pretty bad. They like to rip you off when it comes to repairing cars.

Yeah I know! Magazines (especially National Geographic) always seem to be part of the collection. Yeah its VERY expensive but at the same time its AMAZING what these full body restoration types can do, I mean they take these rusted out hulk frames and somehow make them look BRAND new.

Its really funny to look at the ads from the 60's/ 70's . I've seen some of the stuff guys like those have done... pretty impressive. Far better work than I could even hope of accomplishing (I'm not very big on working on cars).

On a message board, you don't have to expect a response to every comment you make. Here and on other boards I frequent, I don't always get responses. If nobody responds, then I move on .
