All kinds really, ranging from fantasy to sci fi to historical fiction to just plain strange (i.e. whatever popped into my head at the time ) Yeah I do that too! I work in the conclusion than make one huge outline about plot points and arcs and such like that.

Probably one of my strangest is a psychological introspection (of a fiction character). Don't know how it turned out though, since I'm the only one to have read it . Probably another, less strange short story I've written is "The Machinist's Tale", about a machinist (surprise!) who looses his grip on his sanity. Its set in a steampunk-esque world and the story is my attempt at Gothic writing. Though, I tend to stick to fantasy and science fiction. It usually works out best for me. I suppose the fact that I think up the endings/ climax first makes writing stories easier for me. Its hard for me to write a story when I have no clue where its going.

I'm not sure. I have everything typed up on a laptop... which I'm not using right now... I've written mostly short stories (the cyberpunk story being my first attempt at writing "serious" novel) How many would you say you've written?
Yeah, I don't think Gothic style writing is for me. It's pretty difficult and I'm not sure how my attempt worked out.
By the way, did you now this section of the board was originally intended to be used for people to post some of their work?

@lt Yep, thats what I had in mind when I made it. And I'm not just talking about stories.... poetry, haiku, lyrics, whatever you've written are fine.
@randall Thats probably where I'm at. I only write when I can or when I'm inspired enough to do so.

Apparently not, but I suppose most people didn't realize what this section of the board was originally intended for.

Gonna sound lame, but I'm a nerd. Read a lot of graphic novels lately. V for Vendetta. Reading the entire Y the Last Man run. Some Batman GNs. Wolverine and Captain America stuff. Going to read Neil Gaiman's complete Sandman and Alan Moore's Watchmen.

This is the guy that was once involved in competitive TF2. I mean, come on, thats pretty goddamn nerdy.

I just finished the Wess'har Wars series. Some of the best science-fiction I've read. It's about 2,400 pages long, though, so gotta be ready for a serious time commitment.
