Not really.
Its really more about the action.

Personally I thought the critics were wrong about spider-man 3. Obviously it wasn't the best of the three, however it had some awesome stunts and pretty cool special effects. However I did see one flaw that seemed quite apparent. The casting for Eddie Brock. Personally I didn't think it was a good choice.

Well, I personally thought that Topher Grace was just fine as Eddie Brock, BUT not as Venom. He doesn't have the sort of voice nor appearance that'd suit Venom.

I guess the reason I didn't like him so well was because: 1. Venom is supposed to be extremely bulky, Grace obviously isn't 2. Venom is supposed to have a deep voice 3. I just don't think Grace is cut out to be this kind of an actor
One other thing that annoyed me, Venom didn't get enough screen time. He shows up for the last 20 minutes of the movie. (RR, it saddens me, they didn't give Venom his line. "I'm going to eat your spleen." He always has to say that, even in the animated version he did."

I've only seen the first.
Nothing exceptional, but good, mindless fun.

Van Helsing (cool movie for vampire/werewolf movie lovers) and AVP (entertaining)

I think Underworld is better than Van Helsing and AVP, in my opinion, of course.

Just as a side note, the director of Underworld, Len Wiseman, directed Live Free or Die Hard. Anyways... I just watched Tsotsi, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2005. Rotten Tomatoes page: www.rottentomatoes.com/m/tsotsi/

Fantastic Four 1&2. I hated the first one. Rise of the Silver Surfer was a lot better though. Where I would have given 1 and a half stars for the first the second was worth 4 stars. (Out of 5 stars.)
